The business community is one of our biggest assets in the fight against COVID-19. From everyday necessities to personal protective equipment, the products and services South Carolina businesses provide are essential to not only our daily lives, but to the economic health of our citizens and state.
To further support South Carolina's business community in the COVID-19 era, Team SC has a new tool in its arsenal. Earlier this week, the SC Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) launched a new pledge project to further engage SC businesses. The pledge, which appears as a feature on DHEC's "Stay SC Strong" website, encourages business leaders to curb the spread of COVID-19 in the workplace by following safety practices that can help protect employees, customers, clients and other business stakeholders.
Businesses that sign the "Stay SC Strong" pledge will immediately receive a social media graphic announcing their commitment to fight COVID-19, as well as a printable poster reiterating the four major workplace safety measures prescribed by DHEC. These valuable assets demonstrate to the community that these businesses are doing their part to ensure safety and wellness.
Everyone has a role in slowing the spread of COVID-19. Team South Carolina encourages companies across the state to participate in this program, sign the pledge and help us all Stay SC Strong.
