Want to buy a face mask for a health care worker? How about three boxes of gloves?

The Tidelands Health Foundation has created a unique way for individuals to support Tidelands Health during the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic by donating to The Helpers Fund, a newly created custom giving opportunity.

Donations to The Helpers Fund will help purchase needed equipment and supplies, provide assistance for Tidelands Health team members, support the delivery of care for the uninsured and medically underserved and more.

Through The Helpers Fund, donors can select the amount they’d like to give – from $5 to $2,500 or more – and see a representation of how their donation may be used.

For example, a $5 donation is the equivalent of one protective face mask. Donate $50, and know that your dollars represent three boxes of gloves. A $2,500 donation could help fund a major purchase like a hospital bed.

“We know many in our community are searching for ways to support our health care professionals during this unprecedented time,” said Jessica Sasser, executive director of the Tidelands Health Foundation. “The Helpers Fund gives individuals a direct way to support our team members as they work tirelessly on the front lines serving our community. Every donation will have an immediate and lasting impact on the delivery of health care in Georgetown, Horry and Williamsburg counties.”
