Tidelands Health Leader Elected to Board of Statewide Nursing Organization

A Tidelands Health leader will help guide the improvement of health care in South Carolina through her role with a statewide nursing organization.
Ranee Stephens, clinical director of the critical care unit at Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital, has been elected to serve as the patient safety committee representative on the board of the South Carolina Organization of Nurse Leaders, which provides nurses throughout South Carolina with innovative and expert nursing leadership.
The organization focuses on a variety of nursing-related topics such as nursing education, patient safety, workforce trends and nursing-related legislation.
Stephens, who holds a master’s degree in health care administration, joined Tidelands Health in 2015 as clinical director of 2 East at Tidelands Georgetown before assuming her current role leading the hospital’s critical care unit in September. She has 21 years of experience in clinical care and leadership.
