Statement from North Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce, CVB on TDF Post Referendum
Tuesday, March 13th, 2018
The North Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce, Convention and Visitors Bureau, is grateful that the citizens of North Myrtle Beach were afforded the opportunity to vote on the Tourism Development Fee.
While it was made clear that our residents were not in favor of what the fee could do for our City, it remains equally clear that our community was built on tourism, is sustained by tourism and will continue to be a first-choice travel destination for millions of visitors who also consider North Myrtle Beach “home”, and who contribute so much to the extraordinary assets we enjoy.
Further, we always appreciate the opportunity to bring progressive funding options to our constituents as we seek to continue to make North Myrtle Beach an exceptional place to live, work, play and visit.
Our Chamber of Commerce and Convention and Visitors Bureau has, and always will have, the best interests of our citizens and businesses as the bedrock of our mission and will continue to look for innovative ways to sustain and enhance our prosperity.
We look forward to working with the City of North Myrtle Beach, our member businesses and, of course, our passionate citizens towards a better North Myrtle Beach.
