Myrtle Beach's Young Professionals Network Hosts Gamin' for Charity Event at Dave & Buster's on September 30th

The Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce's Young Professionals Network, gsSCENE, invites the community and area visitors to eat, drink, play games and win prizes all in the name of good times and good deeds. The organization's Gamin' for Charity event will be held at Myrtle Beach's newest popular attraction, Dave & Buster's on Saturday, Sept. 30, from noon until 4 p.m. Proceeds from the event go toward the organization's annual charitable cause—Substitutes for Santa.

Substitutes for Santa has been gsSCENE's most successful event since its start in 2012. The event, held annually in December, gives 150 children in Horry County a Christmas they'll never forget. The event includes dinner, game play and ends with a night of shopping. With a $100 spending limit, kids are able to purchase school supplies, clothes, shoes and toys that they normally would not see under the Christmas tree. To see the sheer excitement and awe on the faces of these children is magical and truly what the holiday season is all about.

"We are grateful to have sponsors like Dave & Buster's that support an event that is near and dear to our hearts," said Kema Faulk Parsley, membership programs manager for the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce. "We are excited for our new Gamin' for Charity event and look forward to continuing this partnership to benefit Substitutes for Santa, allowing us to give back to children right here in our community."

Tickets to the Gamin' for Charity event can be purchased online at Adults are $35 and children 12 years and under are $10. Tickets include an all-you-can-eat buffet, two drink tickets (beer and wine), $10 Power Card for ticketed games like skee ball and basketball, and unlimited video game play. There will be a grand prize for the guest with the most tickets/points. *Special rules apply and will be provided.
