Monday, August 14th, 2017
The South Carolina Chamber of Commerce announced winners of its four annual college scholarships during South Carolina Business Week.
Business Week offers the state’s most talented and driven high school students the unique opportunity to learn more about successful business careers as they work with business leaders and their peers on the campus of Clinton’s Presbyterian College. This year’s program began on July 23 and concluded on July 28 with the announcement of the four scholarship winners.
“We congratulate this year’s Business Week scholarship winners and we are proud of all of our talented students,” said Chamber President and CEO Ted Pitts. “We thank each of our generous supporters who continue to make Business Week successful, including SCE&G, the Mechanical Contractors Association of South Carolina and all of the Business Week scholarship sponsors. Because of our sponsors, these students will be able to attend college and pursue their dreams. These contributions are not only an investment in the future of our students, but in the future of our state.”
Scholarship applicants competed in a rigorous selection process and were chosen from among the 180 students who graduated from 2017 Business Week.
