    At the request of Governor Henry McMaster, FEMA has extended the deadline for South Carolina residents to apply for federal disaster assistance following Hurricane Florence. The deadline to register for aid through FEMA – for uninsured or underinsured damage or losses due to Hurricane Florence – has been extended to 11:59 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2018.
